Antique Legacy™ Naily Heart Pine provides a more rustic looking wood that comes from the face of the better vintage warehouse beams. It has frequent character nail holes, often in a pattern, placed there by carpenters long ago.

This special antique heart pine has a blend of the same grains and red tones as the river-recovered™ woods, with some yellow sap streaks. It has 95 percent heart wood.

Characteristics:

• Red tones with splashes of yellow sap streaks
• Frequent nail holes, often in a pattern
• 75 to 85 vertical grain pattern depending on width
• 95 percent heartwood
• At least 8 growth rings per inch
• Somewhat more frequent and slightly larger knots (up to 1-1/2”) than river-recovered® wood
• 1225 on the Janka scale comparable to red oak (1290) & 29 percent more stable

• Flooring, widths from 3”-8” (limited availability of 10”) face or custom

Milling

Flooring is ordered by the square foot and is trimmed to provide 100 percent usable material for the grade. Standard lengths are random from 1' - 12' and standard milling is tongue and groove in 'flooring match' with more wood above the tongue, a back relief pattern and a nail groove over the tongue to ease installation.
